Application:
The wind generator generates electricity by using wind power to charge the battery pack. The stored electricity can supply the lights, appliances, communication equipments and power tools in the forms of DC and AC and in multiple voltage.
Structure and Main Technical Performance:
The wind system is mainly composed of rotor, generator, tail rudder, support, cable, charging controller, inverter, and battery pack, etc.

Preparation:
1. Purchase the storage battery, fill it with battery solution and perform initial charging according to its technical specifications.
2. Sort out and count the parts according to the packing list.
3. Install the WTG where there is no barrier around and the wind is unobstructed; Shorten the distance from the WTG to the battery pack as much as possible to avoid power loss through cables.
4. Foundation Construction
i). Select the center position for the installation of WTG; to install the WTG base, the foundation shall be dug and poured with concrete; the dimension of the foundation pit, see Figure 2.
ii) Put 20 anchor screws onto the foundation plate; screw in M32 nuts (expose the nut end about 30mm from the plate); 1 nut respectively for the top and down surfaces of the foundation plate; The screws shall be protected.
iii) Put a layer of crushed stones onto the bottom of the pit first, then pour the concrete; after filling and leveling, put the Φ12 reinforced bar cushion onto the concrete, and then pour 100 mm of concrete; put the Φ1600 steel cage and ground screws into, and then adjust and level them before concrete pouring for prefabricating.
iv) The curing period for concrete is generally about 100 hours. Do not install the WTG during the curing period.
Instructions for Use
1. Principles for Use
i). The WTG shall be installed in an open area with smooth wind and no barriers. (more than 200 meters away from residential areas)
ii). The off-grid WTG generates power to charge the storage battery pack for power storage, but will consume battery power when there is no wind; therefore the storage battery shall be recharged in time after discharges, especially for lead-acid batteries. Failure to charge in time after over-discharge during use will directly affect the battery’s lifespan.
Hence, the user shall adjust the power consumption in a timely manner according to the local wind conditions and the WTG power output.
iii). The three-phase AC power generated by the WTG is output in DC power source after bridge full-wave rectification, usually in DC360V ~ DC480V.
The voltage of the battery pack shall be consistent with the DC voltage of the wind power in order to maximize the efficiency of the apparatus.
iv). The input DC voltage of the supporting inverter shall be consistent with the WTG working voltage.
2. Safety Information
i) The WTGs are not allowed to run continuously under no-load or high speed conditions.
ii) Check the support frequently. Any loose connection shall be eliminated in time to prevent the machine from falling down.
iii) When the wind rotor rotates at a high speed, no personnel are allowed to stand under the apparatus.
iv) If the forecast wind speed is higher than Grade 7, it is necessary to manually stop the WTG in order to ensure safety.
v) If abnormal noise or vibration occurs during the operation of the WTG, it shall be stopped for inspection.
vi) Power supply lines for the WTG shall be laid separately and not allowed to be mixed with other power supply lines; it will be more economic and safer to use DC power for lighting fixtures;
household appliances shall use AC power output by inverter; it is recommended that the refrigerator be plugged into a special socket with a delayed power-on function.
vii) When connecting the WTG power system, only after the battery pack are connected can the generator’s output line be connected; when disconnecting the system, the generator’s output line shall be disconnected before disconnecting the battery pack.
viii) The “ON-OFF” switch on the electrical box shall always be at the “ON” position; only when the battery pack is fully charged, or to protect the apparatus against catastrophic strong winds, the switch can be allowed to switch off. When the wind speed is high and the rotor rotates fast, it is not allowed to toggle the switch, and it can only be switched to the “OFF” position when the rotor speed is slow.
ix) The battery pack shall be placed away from fire and heat sources, and harmful gases generated during the charging process shall be discharged outdoors.
3. Keep the balance of the wind rotor and eliminate the vibration.
If the blade is out of balance due to external damage and strong vibration occurs, the WTG must be stopped and repaired immediately. Using a three-jaw wrench to remove the wind rotor: first remove the nut and washer on the generator shaft end, install the three-grip wrench on the rotor hub, and then screw the set screw in with a wrench to remove the rotor from the generator shaft. The imbalance torque of the wind rotor after repair shall not be greater than 0.05N.m.
